Pondera County High Point

Trip Report: A probable first descent considering the approach is miserable enough to make the undertaking of skiing this peak only for those dumb enough to try. Ethan & Bowen used mountain bikes to reach a camp high in the valley West of the summit along North Fork Birch Creek. Along the way Ethan contracted Colorado Tick Fever and Bowen’s hatred for Mountain Bikes began. After spending an intimate night with two people in a one-person tent, we skied the chute that extends West from the summit to the valley & creek below.
